Frequently Asked Questions:
-
How will high school transcripts be evaluated given the variable approaches taken by school districts related to pass/fail or credit/no credit or other COVID-19 related grades?
While your transcript and GPA will be a key component of your application to Med-Direct we understand that transcripts this year will reflect a variety of different approaches in instruction and grading. Therefore, we will hold students harmless for receiving pass/fail, credit/no credit, or other grading systems adapted. Each academic record will be reviewed within the context of all previous coursework for which grades are available while also considering the student's academic performance and the rigor of the curriculum selected.
-
I was unable to participate in extracurricular activities due to the COVID-19 stay at home orders. Will this negatively affect my Wayne Med-Direct application?
Our goal is to hold students harmless for the unique challenges encountered during the pandemic. Therefore, we encourage students to share their specific challenges in the optional essay we have reserved for that purpose.
