I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jeffrey Kuentzel as director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) to replace Ms. Lynn Hill who left the University to return to private practice.

Jeff attended the University of Windsor for his undergraduate studies, completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Wayne State University in 2000, and continued in a post-doctoral fellowship at the WSU Psychology Clinic.

He has been a full-time faculty member in the Department of Psychology at WSU for the past nine years, and has served as Associate Director of the Psychology Clinic since 2002. In 2010 Jeff was promoted to Clinical Associate Professor. His research has focused on the utility of brief motivational interventions for pathological gambling and for nonadherence to medical regimens. Jeff also has a special interest in therapeutic interventions for severe affective and behavioral dysregulation, and he has been the recipient of both internal and external funding for his research and clinical programs.
