Awards and grants

Wayne State University is committed to supporting the professional development of faculty and academic staff throughout the various stages of their careers. To this end, the Office of the Provost manages an awards and grants process that recognizes faculty and academic staff to support their teaching, research, and service contributions and accomplishments. The Provost's Office also offers grants to aid faculty and staff in their research and creative projects.

Academic recognition ceremony

The annual academic recognition ceremony is a way for the university community to come together and celebrate the outstanding achievements of faculty, academic staff and graduate students. At this ceremony, held each year in late April, the President and Provost present awards to faculty, staff, and graduate students in the presence of their family, friends and colleagues.
