General Education Assessment Additional Option

For Winter 2020

In response to COVID-19 conditions, an additional option is being provided for assessment of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Social Inquiry (SI), and Quantitative Experience (QE) courses during the Winter 2020 semester. Gen Ed instructors should select at least one of the options below but are welcome to do both. 

Option 1: Data Submission ("Standard" Process) 

Assessment data already submitted via Canvas or the GEOC Excel template will be retained and used for assessment reporting. Instructors who have not yet submitted data but would prefer to do so using these methods are also welcome to submit their assessment results using the built-in Canvas assignments or by requesting and completing a GEOC Excel template from gened@wayne.edu.  

Option 2: Survey 

Completion of the survey linked below will also count as successful participation in the General Education assessment for this semester. The survey asks you to indicate how much of an impact COVID-19 disruptions have had on your ability to teach and assess the Gen Ed learning outcomes and to briefly describe their impact. You can preview the survey questions online. A link to the survey was emailed to DEI, QE, and SI instructors on April 15.
