Christine Jackson

Biography

Dr. Christine Jackson is the Vice Provost for Partnerships & Workforce at Wayne State University, where she leads initiatives to strengthen academic partnerships, workforce development, and global engagement. She oversees key programs, including College to Career, Career Services, university-industry collaborations, international programs, study abroad, the English Language Institute, the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), community service and learning, and executive and professional development. Her work advances WSU’s strategic plan by fostering student career readiness, strengthening community and industry partnerships, and positioning the university as a leader in workforce innovation.

Previously, Dr. Jackson served as Chair of the Management Department in the Mike Ilitch School of Business. She has provided leadership training across WSU and contributed to initiatives such as the Detroit Police Department Leadership Academy, the Academy Leadership Academy (ALA), Gender Equity Advances Retention in STEM (GEARS), the Mandela Fellowship Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), and the Quality Assurance & Improvement Council. She is an active member of Wayne Women LEAD, WSU’s Chapter of the MI-ACE Women’s Network.

Dr. Jackson’s research, published in top-tier management journals, focuses on leadership, trust, fairness, and team effectiveness. She has served on editorial boards and previously held faculty and leadership roles at Purdue University.

She holds a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Florida and a B.S. in Psychology from Michigan State University. She has completed leadership training from HERS, Penn State, Harvard, Cornell University, and MI-ACE.
