First Year Seminar

Improve your study skills and establish good habits for freshman year and beyond.

Learning Communities

In Learning Communities, small groups of students with similar interests work closely together in a "community of learners." Students, along with advanced student mentors and a faculty advisor, study, socialize and problem-solve together.

STARS 2.0

The Student Tracking Advising Retention System (STARS) is a web application that interacts with a collection of Wayne State University databases. It is designed to enable convenient access to university data at both an individual and aggregate level for advising, retention efforts, curriculum tracking and program evaluation.

Student Success Collaborative

The Student Success Collaborative is an outgrowth of the work that came together quickly in March 2020 in response to the pandemic. That effort, Student Success Continuity and Learn Anywhere project, coordinated the transition of many student academic support programs and academic advisors in to the remote an online environment. The effort also included direct outreach to students and development of materials to support student learning in the remote and online environment.

W Chatbot

Students can now communicate with W the Warrior, our artificial intelligence-powered chatbot. The chatbot allows students to engage in quick and simple text exchanges that support academic success and WSU navigational assistance.
