Application Information

Whether applying to be either a mentor or mentee, please make sure to note the process listed as well as the required meetings.

  • First, all applicants will need to submit an application, which can be accessed by clicking the appropriate link below. Applications will close at 5pm on September 23rd.
  • Second, all applicants will need to attend an in-person 'speed matching' event on September 29th at 12pm. This event, along with an applicant information booklet, will help both mentors and mentees rank the applicants based on who would make the most meaningful pairing for them and their journey.
  • Third, the ASMC will create pairings and the selected applicants will attend a mandatory introductory meeting October 12th at 12pm.
  • Lastly, there will be a mid-year check-in meeting on February 1st at 12pm.
  • Please note all events will be in-person and attendance at the events is required to participate in the program

A couple of new things to note for the 22-23 application cycle. For those that are interested in learning more about being a mentor for this program, please register for a ASMC info session on September 16th at 12pm here. Also, we are happy to announce that selected mentors will be eligible for up to $250 for professional development funds. These funds would be available to mentors in the 23-24 academic year.

The ASMC has worked very hard over the past year to update and reenergize the Mentoring Program and are very excited to start the 2022-2023 academic year.

*Please note: In order to be considered as a Mentor, the applicant needs to have ESS at WSU.
