Union of Part-Time Faculty Orientation
Wayne State University supports the professional development of part-time faculty with Union of Part-Time Faculty (UPTF) Fall and Winter Welcome Back Orientations. Join colleagues to meet and interact with your colleagues from a range of disciplines while learning more about teaching and learning at WSU and resources available to you. As part of this event, the Office for Teaching and Learning (OTL) facilitates an interactive workshop on improving classroom management skills.

New Chair Orientation
Department chairs advance the mission of the university by their enabling faculty, staff, and students to engage in high quality research, scholarly, and creative pursuits and to advance in their career and professional development. New chairs are invited to attend this one-day session to discuss leading from "the middle", contractual issues, and other topics of interest to new chairs. Ongoing chair training is also available to continue your professional development as a chair.
