Survey of Warrior Educational Engagement and Transfirmation (SWEET)

decorativeThe Survey of Warrior Educational Engagement and Transformation (SWEET) is an annual survey of undergraduate students completed during the winter semester. Conducted by the Division of Academic Affairs, SWEET aims to explore the student journey from start to finish, and is an in-house survey developed with collaborative, interdisciplinary input from across campus. The 2025 survey was open from March 17-April 18. All undergraduate students received an e-mail when the survey went live inviting participation.

Reasons to encourage your students to take the SWEET survey

  • Provides rich, actionable data: Data collected from the survey informs decisions that shape the support, resources, and opportunities provided to students throughout their academic journey. With enough response, data can be disaggregated by student level, school/college, and even major.
  • Supports individual student journeys: The survey helps understand the diverse paths and challenges students face, ensuring that personalized and relevant support is available to all.
  • Improves faculty and staff engagement: The feedback helps to better understand student experiences, making it easier to provide effective learning experiences, advising, and support services.
  • Collaborative and inclusive: The survey was developed with input from campus stakeholders, ensuring it reflects a broad range of perspectives and experiences.
  • Promotes campus community: Encouraging students to take the survey fosters a sense of community by showing that the university cares about students’ opinions and wants to make improvements based on their feedback.

Where can I view the results?

A campus-wide presentation of the results will occur in the fall term and is open to all WSU faculty, staff and students. Survey results and presentation recordings are posted in the fall following each winter survey period.
