Procedures for External Peer Review Team

A template and procedure for writing and submission of the External Peer Reviewer report can be found here.

During an Academic Program Review, External Peer Reviewers are asked to keep in mind the university's goal to maintain and enhance its position as a major research institution while meeting its responsibilities to the citizens of Michigan and residents of Detroit. Reviewers are asked in particular to review the unit's research/creative activity, academic programs, faculty, staff, and students.

Evaluators are asked to address the following six categories during the review:

  1. Mission and Strategic Plan
  2. Management Operations
  3. Academic Programs
  4. Faculty and Staff
  5. Students
  6. External Relations

Wayne State arranges all transportation and covers all costs for travel, lodging, and meals for External Reviewers. Questions regarding Academic Program Review should be directed to apr@wayne.edu or (313) 577-6285.
