Water You Walking For? In our heart to help our community!
With the recent water shut down in Detroit Public Schools, it has been a struggle to find a new water sources for students. Because Detroit is in our backyard and we are committed to serving the community, we want to help the DPSCD community in any way possible.
Wayne Med Direct Program and Rising Black Medical Leaders is hosting an Easter themed scavenger hunt to raise money for water hydration stations in Detroit Public schools. The scavenger hunt will be on April 20th from 10 am-12 pm. It will start at Gullen mall and spread out into the surrounding Midtown Detroit community. The hunt will be in teams of four which can either be created on the day of race or you can come with your own team. The cost of the hunt will be $15 per person participants who are willing to contribute to the cause can join us for a light breakfast, the scavenger hunt, and the chance to win prizes. Our goal is to raise enough money to pay for one water hydration station (3,000 dollars) which will be placed in a Detroit Public School. All proceeds will go to the Detroit Public Schools Foundation!
