Program Discontinuance Procedures
An admissions moratorium must be requested in advance of a proposal for discontinuance. Submit discontinuances in Course Leaf: https://nextbulletins.wayne.edu/programadmin/
The moratorium request must contain:
- Program Description
- History of the Program
- A rationale for Admissions Moratorium
- Existing Student and Faculty Consideration
- Approval from:
- Departmental faculty and chair (in departmentalized colleges/schools), if applicable
- School/college curriculum committee or other appropriate faculty body and Dean
- Graduate School, if applicable. Procedures for Graduate School
- Provost's Office (designee is Associate Provost R. Darin Ellis)
- Once approved, admissions for the program will be removed by the Registrar office.
The discontinuance proposal should contain:
- The rationale for discontinuance
- An explanation for how current students (if any) will be accommodated
- The effective date the program will be discontinued
Discontinuance approval procedures:
