Course Material Fee Process

The course material fee form is available at https://nextbulletins.wayne.edu/miscadmin/. This form will be made available at the beginning of the Fall 2023 semester.

Course material fees are governed by Wayne State University Statute 2.74.07. Proposals should follow established school/college/department workflows. Course material fee requests of $100 or more must be approved by the President, and all fees under $100 must be approved by the Provost.

Course material fee proposals are submitted during the fall term of each year. Proposal forms are reviewed by the Provost's and President's Offices in the winter term, and subsequently, a report of approved fees is presented to the Board of Governors. Approved fees are applied to the course records for the following academic year (e.g., fees approved in Winter 2024 will be available for the 2024-25 academic year).

All department and school/college approvals should be completed by December 15, 2023 (EOB).

This course material fee proposal form must be completed in its entirety. A syllabus and relevant supporting documentation should be uploaded directly to the form. Proposals to revise and add new courses should be submitted separately using the standard forms.
